Solidarietà Passionista

The association ‘Solidarietà Passionista Onlus’ has realised a large and ambitious missionary project in Tanzania, in the village of Zenneti, a densely populated area characterised by high unemployment and extreme poverty, as well as being particularly exposed to a high risk of malaria.

The new mission is based on the creation of a farm capable of creating job opportunities and professional training. In the project Fondazione SAME initially contributed to the construction of a hospital with the aim of offering the main and basic treatments and analyses, and then activated support/adoption programmes for 90 pregnant women, 80 elderly people and 4 medical students.

In recent years the activities have concentrated on setting up a clinic for AIDS patients and supporting the farm linked to the structure, as well as building a new guest house and an eye clinic for diagnosis and specialist examinations.
